4. Detergent drawer

The drawer slides out and is removed by lifting it. Insert 4 for bleach goes into compartment 1, fill no higher than max; a prewash is not possible with the insert in place. Liquid washing detergent is poured into compartment 2 just before the start.
Tap a row to set that programme on the panel.

- Lamp — Phase indicator: prewash. Shows the progress of the programme; with a delay the indicators show the remaining time.
- Lamp — Phase indicator: wash.
- Lamp — Phase indicator: rinse.
- Lamp — Phase indicator: spin (it is also lit during draining).
- Button Delay — Delay timer, up to 9 hours. Press several times until the desired value; the fifth press switches the function off. After Start/Reset the value can only be reduced. Works with all programmes. While a delay is running the door cannot be opened.
- Button Stain removal — Bleaching cycle for stubborn soiling. Pour bleach into insert 4 (in compartment 1). Available with programmes 2, 3, 4, 5 and rinse; not combined with easy iron.
- Button Easy iron — Less creasing. On programmes 4, 5, 6, 7 it interrupts the cycle without draining (stop with water). Available with programmes 3-10 and rinse. Not combined with stain removal.
- Button Extra rinse — Improves rinsing efficiency; useful with a full load or a lot of detergent. Available with programmes 1-5, 8-10, 12, 13 and rinse.
- Start button Start/Reset — Start/Reset: starts the programme. To cancel a programming mistake, hold it pressed for 2 seconds.
- Lamp — "Power / Door locked" indicator: blinks after switching on, lit while the door is locked; blinks at the end - the door can be opened. Rapid blinking together with another indicator means a fault.
- Power button I/O — Button for switching the machine on and off.
- Spin knob Spin — Spin speed: cotton up to 1000, synthetics up to 800, wool up to 600, silk no spin. The machine will not let you set a speed above the programme maximum. The position with the crossed-out symbol cancels the spin.
- Temperature knob °C — The temperature can be lowered down to a cold wash (snowflake). It cannot be set higher than the one provided for the programme.
- Programme knob Programmes — Programme selection. The manual does not state the direction of rotation. The knob does not turn during the cycle.
The machine does not switch on / the cycle does not start
- The plug is not inserted or there is no power in the house.
- The door is not closed properly.
- The power button or the Start/Reset button has not been pressed.
- The water tap is closed.
- A delayed start (timer) is set.
Manual, p. 11
The machine does not fill with water
- The hose is not connected to the tap or is pinched.
- The tap is closed, there is no water in the house or the pressure is low.
- The Start/Reset button has not been pressed.
Manual, p. 11
The machine keeps filling and draining water
- The drain hose is lower than 65 or higher than 100 cm from the floor.
- The end of the drain hose is submerged in water.
- A wall drain without an air valve; on upper floors a siphon effect can occur, an anti-siphon valve is needed.
Manual, p. 11
It does not drain or spin
- The programme does not include draining, so the drain must be started manually.
- Easy iron is on: press Start/Reset to finish.
- The drain hose is pinched or blocked, or there is a blockage in the sewer.
Manual, p. 11
Strong vibration during spin
- The drum was not unlocked correctly during installation (transport bolts).
- The machine is not level.
- Not enough gap to the wall or furniture.
Manual, p. 11
Water is leaking
- The inlet hose is not screwed on tightly.
- The detergent drawer is blocked.
- The drain hose is not fixed properly.
Manual, p. 11
The "Power/Door locked" indicator blinks rapidly together with another indicator
- This means a fault: contact an authorised service centre.
Manual, p. 11
Too much foam
- The detergent is not suitable for front-loading automatic machines.
- Too much detergent.
Manual, p. 11

Disconnect the machine from the mains. Remove the lower panel with a screwdriver, unscrew the filter cap anticlockwise (a little water will run out), clean it, screw it back, and refit the panel so that the hooks go into the loops.
Lift slightly and take out the drawer, rinse under running water; do this regularly.
After washing leave the door slightly open so that odours and mould do not appear.
Close the tap after every wash. Check the hose at least once a year and replace it if cracked.
Where the data comes from
- Indesit WISL 105: Operating manual (RU, 12 pp.), scan on McGrp, p. 1-12 (использованы 3-11) (manual archive)
Assumptions
- The order of positions on the programme knob is assumed to follow ascending numbers (1-13) and then the partial programmes (rinse, spin, drain) in the order of the rows of the table on p. 6; the printed order on the knob is not shown in the manual. Angles are nominal.
- The values on the temperature knob (cold, 30, 40, 60, 90) and the spin knob (0, 600, 800, 1000) are derived from the values in the tables; the manual gives no intermediate marks.
- Programme numbers 2 and 4 are repeated in the table at different temperatures; programs[] holds the variant with the highest temperature, the others are in the note. The cycle.steps durations are taken from the highest variant.
- The cycle.steps phases are split in proportion to the total duration in the table (the sum equals the figure from the table). This is an estimate: the machine has electronic control and the manual does not give the times of individual phases. Heating is not added separately (timerPausesForHeating: false) because the figures in the table already include it.
- The durations of the partial programmes (rinse, spin, drain) are not given in the manual and are estimated at 30, 12 and 3 minutes.
- The fabric category of programmes 8-13 is derived from the row description; in the table they are grouped as "4 programmes for you" and "Sport".
- The labels of the four function buttons are in the order in which they are listed in the table on p. 7; the real order on the panel is not shown in the manual. The LED colour is not stated.
- The panel colours (light plastic, dark lettering) are typical for the series; no photo of this particular machine was used.
- The year of manufacture is not given in the manual; the range is estimated from the series.
Not in the manual
- The spin speed for programmes 8-13 is not given in the manual (a general table by fabric type is given).
- The direction of rotation of the programme knob and the labels on it are not described in the manual.
- Delay duration: p. 7 says "up to 9 h", the specific button steps are not given and are not set here.
- The water volume and the heater power separate from the total power of 1850 W are not given.
Time is an estimate from the timer steps and heater power: heating 8 l of water from 15 °C to the selected temperature with a 1850 W heater. Real time depends on tap water temperature, load and mains voltage.
