4. Detergent drawer
Front view, left to right. Highlighted compartments are the ones the machine takes detergent from on this programme.
The drawer sits inside the outer lid at the top. The manual says to put liquid detergent straight into the drum in the round plastic dosing ball. Water left in compartment 3 after the wash is normal: it is needed to feed thick softeners. To clean: lightly press the large button on the drawer and pull it up; take out and rinse the pair of siphons in compartments 1 and 2.
Tap a row to set that programme on the panel.

- Lamp — A column of four LEDs: prewash, wash, rinse, spin; they light one after another. During draining the spin indicator lights. If a delayed start is set they show its time.
- Button Stain removal — Bleach cycle: pour bleach into the additional insert 4 (compartment 1). Available with programmes 2-8 and Rinse.
- Button Extra rinse — Increases rinsing efficiency; recommended for a full load or a lot of detergent. Available with programmes 1-8 and Rinse.
- Button 800/400 — Reduces the spin speed. Available with all programmes except 11 and Drain.
- Button STOP — Reduces creasing. Programmes 6, 7, 8, 11 and Delicate rinse stop without draining the water and the rinse phase indicator flashes. To finish the cycle press the anti-crease key. Available with programmes 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and Delicate rinse.
- Start button Start/Cancel — Starts the chosen programme. To cancel, hold the button for 2 seconds.
- Lamp — Flashes when the machine is on and waiting for the start; lit while the lid is locked. You can open the lid when it flashes again. Fast flashing together with another indicator means a fault.
- Power button I/O — Switches the machine on and off. After switching on all indicators light for a few seconds, then the On/Lid indicator starts flashing.
- Temperature knob °C — Wash temperature from the programme table; it can be lowered down to a cold wash (snowflake). The marks are taken from the programme table.
- Programme knob Programmes — Programme selection. The knob stays still during the cycle: the indicators show the stage. The rotation direction is not stated in the manual. The order of positions comes from the programme table (page 6); the manual has no drawing of the knob, so the angles are placeholders.
The machine does not switch on
- The plug is not in the socket or does not make contact.
- There is no electricity in the house.
Manual, p. 11
The wash cycle does not start
- The lid is not closed properly (the lid-lock indicator flashes).
- The on button was not pressed.
- The Start/Reset button was not pressed.
- The water tap is closed.
Manual, p. 11
The machine does not fill with water
- The inlet hose is not connected to the tap.
- The hose is kinked.
- The water tap is closed.
- There is no water in the house.
- Insufficient water pressure.
- The Start/Reset button was not pressed.
Manual, p. 11
The machine fills and drains continuously
- The drain hose is lower than 65 or higher than 100 cm from the floor.
- The end of the drain hose is under water.
- The wall drain has no vent pipe (on upper floors the siphon effect is possible; an anti-siphon is needed).
Manual, p. 11
The machine does not drain or spin
- The selected programme does not drain: for some programmes draining must be started by hand.
- The anti-crease function is on (called "Easy iron" in the manual text): press Start/Reset to finish the programme.
- The drain hose is kinked or clogged.
- A blockage in the sewer.
Manual, p. 11
Heavy vibration when spinning
- The drum was unlocked incorrectly during installation.
- The machine is not level.
- The gap between the machine and the wall or furniture is too small.
Manual, p. 11
Water leaks
- The inlet hose is not secured well (the nut on the hose end is loose or the gasket is misplaced).
- The detergent drawer is clogged with detergent residue.
- The drain hose is not secured well.
Manual, p. 11
The On/Lid locked indicator flashes fast together with another indicator
- Contact an authorised service centre: this means a fault.
Manual, p. 11
Too much foam
- A detergent unsuitable for automatic washing machines is used (the text says "front-loading"; the wording is shared across the range).
- Too much detergent.
Manual, p. 11

Lightly press the large button on the drawer and pull it up. Rinse it under running water with an old toothbrush, take out the pair of siphons from the tops of compartments 1 and 2, check they are not clogged and rinse them. When reassembling, push the siphons back and slide the drawer in until it clicks.
The pump is self-cleaning, but small objects can get into it. Make sure the cycle has finished and unplug the machine. Pull off the lower front plinth by its edges, unscrew the filter cover anticlockwise (a little water may run out), clean the filter thoroughly from inside, screw the cover back and refit the plinth, making sure the hooks go into the loops.
Check at least once a year; replace it at once at any sign of a leak. Do not use hoses that were used before.
After every wash leave the drum doors half open so that no smell or mould appears.
Clean with a soft cloth and warm soapy water; do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
Close the tap after every wash and pull the plug before cleaning and servicing.
Where the data comes from
- Indesit WITP 82: operating instructions (RU, 12 pp.), scan on McGrp, p. 1-12 (использованы 3-11) (manual archive)
Assumptions
- The order of positions on the programme knob follows the order of rows in the programme table (page 6): 1-11, then rinse, delicate rinse, spin, delicate spin, drain. The manual has no drawing of the knob, so the angles are placeholders.
- The left-to-right order of the four function buttons follows the order of the table on page 7 (stain removal, extra rinse, 800/400, anti-crease); the panel diagram does not label them.
- The temperature knob marks (cold, 30, 40, 50, 60, 90) are derived from the programme table.
- The manual gives no production years: the estimate is based on the design (Indesit layout of the mid-2000s).
- Step durations are estimates that add up to the total duration in the table; the machine is electronic, so heating time is included inside the wash step. The main-wash water volume (12 L) is an estimate; the extra rinse is taken as 6 min.
- The 1850 W in the manual is the maximum power consumption; it is taken as the heater power.
- The 800 rpm maximum is stated for the machine as a whole and is not split by programme in the table, so 800 is used for programmes 1-10 and 0 for programme 11 (the 800/400 button is not available for it).
Not in the manual
- There is no drawing of the programme and temperature knobs: positions and angles are derived from the table.
- The curtains section recommends programme 7 as "automatically excluding spin", but in the table programme 7 is synthetics 50 C; the data follows the table.
- The maximum spin speed per programme is not given (only the overall maximum of 800 rpm).
- There is no duration or water consumption for partial programmes (rinse, spin, drain).
- It is not stated how delicate and ordinary bleach differ for the stain-removal function other than by fabric type.
- The rotation direction of the programme knob is not stated.
Time is an estimate from the timer steps and heater power: heating 12 l of water from 15 °C to the selected temperature with a 1850 W heater. Real time depends on tap water temperature, load and mains voltage.
