- Button drain off — Drain off: the water of the last rinse stays in the tub and the laundry does not crease. To drain and spin, press the button again; to drain without a spin, select programme P.
- Button 1/2 — Reduced load (cotton and linen up to 2 kg): saves water on the rinse.
- Lamp — "Programme in progress" signal lamp: lit during operation, goes out at the end.
- Temperature knob °C — Turn the knob and set the desired temperature; it turns both ways. On the snowflake symbol there is no heating.
- Programme knob programme — Turn the selector to the right and set it to the desired programme. Switch the machine on by pulling the selector towards you. Pressing the selector stops the work and cuts the power.

Manual, p. 36
The machine fills and drains water at once
- The end of the drain hose is too low (see the "Installation" section).
Manual, p. 36
The machine does not drain and/or does not spin
- The drain hose is pinched or kinked.
- The drain-off function is selected.
- The drain pump is blocked: check it.
- The "Spin off" function (0) is selected.
Manual, p. 36
Water on the floor
- Too much or unsuitable powder (heavy foaming).
- A leak at the inlet hose connections (not always visible, check whether the hose is damp).
- The drain hose is damaged.
- The drain filter cap is not screwed on properly or the drain tube is not closed with its plug.
Manual, p. 36
The machine vibrates or is noisy
- The internal packing parts have not been removed.
- The machine touches walls or furniture.
- The feet are not firmly set.
- The laundry is unevenly distributed in the drum or there is too little of it.
Manual, p. 36
No water is visible in the machine
- The machine is working economically, with reduced water consumption.
Manual, p. 37
The loading door does not open
- The machine is running a programme.
- The door has not unlocked.
- The drain-off function is selected.
Manual, p. 37
Detergent residues after the wash cycle
- Insoluble components of modern detergents, this is not a sign of poor rinsing. Brush the laundry clean, wash again if necessary.
Manual, p. 37
Foam residues after the last rinse
- Modern detergents can form foam even after rinsing; it does not affect the wash quality.
Manual, p. 37
Unsatisfactory wash results
- Not enough detergent or the wrong choice of detergent.
- Stubborn stains were not pre-treated before washing.
- The wrong temperature was selected.
- Too much laundry was loaded.
Manual, p. 37
The spin starts late or does not happen
- The electronic imbalance control has tripped: the laundry is uneven. The machine changes the drum direction several times. If the laundry has not settled after 6 minutes, there will be no spin: spread the laundry by hand and select the spin programme again.
Manual, p. 37

Wash with a hand dishwashing detergent, then rinse with clean water and wipe. Do not use products containing alcohol.
Check from time to time that there are no foreign objects in the seal: paper clips, buttons, toothpicks.
It is removed by pressing the upper catch on the left; the upper part can be taken off for cleaning. Clean the recess with an old brush, then put the dispenser back and run a wash without laundry.
Inspect it if the machine does not drain or does not spin, or is noisy when draining. Pull the plug, wait for the water to cool, open the filter door, place a container underneath, take the drain tube out of its seat and remove the plug, let the water run out, unscrew the filter, clean it, put it back and close the door.
If filling with water is slow: close the tap, unscrew the hose, clean the filter with a toothbrush, screw the hose back on.
Pull the plug, close the tap, wait for the water to cool, open the drain filter door, drain the water through the drain tube into a container, clean the filter.
Pull the plug, close the tap and unscrew the inlet hose, lower the ends of the hoses into a container, drain the water; when installing the hose, put the drain tube with its plug back in place.
After draining the water through the drain tube, pour about 2 litres of water into the detergent compartment and select the drain programme P so that the ECONOMY valve can switch on.
Before the first wash, run a programme at 60 °C without laundry, putting 100 g of powder into the main wash compartment.
Where the data comes from
- Zanussi FA 832 / FA 1032: operating manual (RU), booklet 132992720, p. pdf 5-20 (нумерация брошюры 22-37) (manual archive)
- Model page in the manual archive rembitteh.ru (manual archive)
Assumptions
- The selector positions (13 positions, A-P, evenly round the circle) and the marks of the temperature knob (0, 30, 40, 60, 90) and spin knob (0, 300, 800) are estimates: the manual shows the panel in a small drawing.
- The order of the letters on the selector is assumed to be alphabetical.
- The maximum spin of 800 rpm: p. 22 (FA 832 800 rpm, FA 1032 1000 rpm) and the "Aquacycle 800" inscription on the panel.
- The manual has no programme durations, so all cycle.steps steps and their order are estimates; consumption data for the FA 832 are not given in the manual.
- The drain-off button: the text on p. 26 names programmes H-J-K-L-M, the table on pp. 32-33 marks the drain symbol also for A, B, C, D, F. The table variant is adopted, the conflict is noted in gaps.
- The panel colours are nominal: no photo of the machine was used.
- The range of years is an estimate: the booklet carries only a layout date of 27.05.2003.
Not in the manual
- No programme durations or water and electricity consumption.
- The heater power is not given: the technical data show only the total power consumption of 2200 W (p. 22).
- Conflict: on which programmes the drain-off button works (text H-J-K-L-M, table also A, B, C, D, F).
- The exact marks of the knobs and the intermediate values on the spin knob are not shown.
- It is not shown what the "off" position of the selector looks like or whether it has a separate mark.
Time is an estimate from the timer steps and heater power: heating 14 l of water from 15 °C to the selected temperature with a 2000 W (not stated in the manual, typical value used) heater. Real time depends on tap water temperature, load and mains voltage.
