Maxx 4 WFC 2060
German machine with a single program knob where the temperature is built into the knob positions (30, 40, 60, 90) and shown by symbols, plus a separate spin speed selector. Control is electronic: the knob does not turn during the wash, and the program is started with the "Start" button. The panel is confusing because the same numbers appear next to different symbols.

4. Detergent drawer
Front view, left to right. Highlighted compartments are the ones the machine takes detergent from on this programme.
Drawer with three compartments (from left to right in the picture: II, flower, I). Compartment I is for prewash, starching and soaking; compartment II is for the main wash, water softening, bleaching and stain removal; the compartment with the flower is for fabric softener and shaping products. Pour softener no higher than the lower edge of insert 1; dilute thick products slightly with water before loading. To clean, pull the drawer out to the stop, press the recess in the insert and take it out completely.
Tap a row to set that programme on the panel.

- Start button Start — "Start" button (diamond): starts the selected program. The "Wash" lamp lights up.
- Button Anti-crease — A special spin process followed by loosening of the laundry: after the spin the laundry lies loose in the drum, which prevents creasing. Do not wash more laundry at once than is allowed, and take the laundry out right after the spin.
- Button Extra rinse — Adds one extra rinse; the wash duration is lengthened accordingly. Recommended with very soft water.
- Button Quick wash — Shortened wash: only two rinses. Suitable for lightly soiled laundry, up to 2 kg.
- Spin knob rpm — Centrifuge speed selector. The basic knob position is up. In the "no spin" position (tub symbol) the laundry stays in the water of the last rinse; before taking it out the "Drain" or "Spin" program is needed. Shows the values from the panel diagram, the angles are approximate.
- Lamp — Three lamps: "End" (O) is lit when the program has finished; "Wash" (|) is lit after pressing "Start" and during the program; "Ready" (power symbol) is lit if a program is selected. A flashing "Ready" means the door is not closed.
- Programme knob programs — Program selection: switches the machine on and off. Position O is off. The temperature is shown next to the position; the symbols differ for the same number. The "15" position next to the wool symbol is taken as a cold wash (the manual says "Wool cold, 30 °C"), the mark angles are taken from the panel diagram, approximate.
The loading door does not open
- The "Spin off" program is selected: set "Drain" or "Spin".
- The door lock function is active: wait two minutes.

Some of the detergent stays in the drawer
- The detergent is damp or lumpy: wash the drawer and wipe it dry, as described on p. 17.
Manual, p. 21
The program does not start, the "Ready" indicator lamp flashes
- The loading door is not closed: check that no item is trapped between the door and the opening, and close the door properly (a click should be heard).
Manual, p. 21
The indicator lamps do not light
- The fuse has tripped: replace or reset it; if it trips again, call service.
- The power was cut: the program will continue when it is restored.
- The plug is not inserted in the socket or is loose in it.
Manual, p. 22
The program does not start
- The "Start" key has not been pressed.
Manual, p. 22
No water enters the machine or the detergent is not flushed in, the "Wash" lamp flashes
- The water tap is closed: open it.
- The supply hose is kinked or squeezed.
- The filters in the supply hose are clogged: clean them as described on p. 19.
Manual, p. 22
The detergent is not flushed out of compartment I

Manual, p. 22
No water is visible in the drum
- Everything is fine: the water is below the visible part of the drum.
Manual, p. 22
The detergent solution is not fully pumped out, the "End" lamp flashes
- The pump that drains the solution is blocked by foreign objects: clean it (p. 18).

Foam comes out of the drawer
- Too much detergent was used: mix a tablespoon of fabric softener with 1/2 litre of water and pour it into compartment II; dose more precisely next time.
Manual, p. 23
The machine performs repeated spins
- Everything is fine: the electronic control system has registered an imbalance and is trying to correct it.
Manual, p. 23
The program takes longer than usual
- Everything is fine: the electronic system has registered an imbalance and is trying to correct it: wash large and small items together.
- The foam detection system has added an extra rinse: choose a suitable program.
Manual, p. 23
The wash result is unsatisfactory

First disconnect the machine from the mains, do not wash it with a jet of water. Wipe the cabinet with a soap solution without abrasives, and dry it at the end. Never use solvents.
If metal objects were left in the drum and rust has appeared, clean the drum with chlorine-free products. Steel scouring pads must not be used.
With correct dosing, descaling is not required. If it is still needed, use products according to the manufacturer's instructions; they contain acids and may damage parts.
Pull the drawer out to the stop, press the recess in the insert and take the drawer out completely. Take out the insert by pulling it up, rinse it under running water, fix the insert and put the drawer back.
Needed if the solution is not fully pumped out. Set the knob to O, fold down the plinth cover, open the pump cover carefully, only enough for the water to run into a container placed underneath (up to 20 litres may come out, at up to 90 °C). Close the cover when the container is half full and empty the water, repeat. Remove lint and foreign objects, the impeller must turn freely, then screw the cover back on and close the plinth. After that pour 1 litre of water into compartment II and run the "Drain" program.
Clean them if no water, or little water, enters with the tap open. First release the pressure: close the tap, set the knob to any program except "Spin" and "Drain", press "Start" and let the program run for about 40 seconds.
Where the data comes from
- Operating manual Bosch Maxx 4 WFC 2060 (RU, copy from a service site), p. 4-25 (manual archive)
Assumptions
- The machine has electronic control: the program knob does not turn during the wash, so the cycle.steps are tied to the knob position as a choice of program, not to the progress of a timer. The model in the data is simplified to electromechanical.
- The durations from the consumption table (p. 25) refer to a load of 3.5 kg (cotton) or 2 kg (synthetics, delicates, wool) and include heating. Therefore timerPausesForHeating=false, heats is not given for the stages; the breakdown by stage within the duration is an estimate (cycle.estimate=true).
- For the knob positions "30°", "60+", "15" the purpose was determined from the panel diagram (p. 4) and the text of pp. 9-10: "30°/40/60" are coloureds, "60+tub" is coloureds with prewash, "15" and "30" next to the wool symbol are wool. Treating the "15" mark as a cold wash is an assumption.
- The mark angles are taken from the panel diagram on p. 4, approximately (0 = 12 o'clock, clockwise).
- The maximum speed table (p. 12) gives 1000 for whites and coloureds, 800 for synthetics, wool, rinse and spin, 600 for delicates.
- The panel colours are approximate: the photo of the machine was not viewed, the diagrams in the manual are grey.
- The page numbers (sourcePage) match the printed numbers of the file.
- The manual covers the Maxx 4 series; the WFC 2060 panel and the tables in the data are taken from it.
Not in the manual
- The consumption table (p. 25) has no rows for "Synthetics 30 and 60", "Coloureds 30", "Coloureds 60 with prewash"; consumption and time for them are unknown.
- The manual does not make clear which extra functions are allowed with each program individually; general rules are given only in the text (quick wash up to 2 kg, combining functions is possible).
- The temperatures "15" and "30" next to the wool symbol and the difference between them are not explained in the text.
- The heater power and the exact year of manufacture are not given in the manual.
- P. 24 (service) and pp. 26-36 (installation and connection) were not used.
Time is an estimate from the timer steps and heater power: heating 12 l of water from 15 °C to the selected temperature with a 2000 W (not stated in the manual, typical value used) heater. Real time depends on tap water temperature, load and mains voltage.
