Gorenje electronic-control washer with one programme knob (turns both ways, 0 = off), a column of three buttons (spin reduction, quick wash, more water), a Start/Pause button and three phase lamps. The knob does not move during the wash. The manual covers several model variants, so loads and spin speeds are partial.

4. Detergent drawer
Front view, left to right. Highlighted compartments are the ones the machine takes detergent from on this programme.
A drawer with three compartments, left to right in the drawing: prewash (symbol with drop and dot), main wash, laundry care products (flower; fill only up to the mark). If the programme has no prewash, powder can be put directly into the drum with a dosing cup. Dilute thick softeners with water. Some models have a flap: powder up, liquid detergents down (only for programmes without prewash). Keep the drawer closed when opening or closing the door. Remove it by pressing the tab.
Tap a row to set that programme on the panel.

- Programme knob programmes — Programme knob A turns both ways. Position 0 (top) is off; turning from 0 to a programme switches on and the lamp by the START button blinks. Upper right is the cotton arc: 95, 60 (tag: EN 60456 standard programme), 60 with prewash, 40 (tag), 30 °C. Lower right is the synthetics arc: 60, 40 and 40 "Easy iron". Bottom left: butterfly (delicates 30 °C), wool 30 °C and MIX 40 °C. Upper left: four additional programmes: rinse, softening, drain, spin. The knob does not turn during the wash; three lamps show the stage.
- Lamp — Three lamps above the buttons: wash/prewash, rinse, spin. The lamp of the current phase is lit; at the end of the programme they blink. Blinking in a certain rhythm means a fault (p. 20).
- Spin knob rpm — Button B: each press lowers the spin speed down to no spin. For cotton the steps are 1400, 1300, ..., 500 rpm (only some are shown here), for synthetics and MIX 1000, 800, 600, for delicates 700 or no spin, for wool 600 or no spin. The maximum depends on the model (1400 in the data). It is a button, not a knob: the dial is conceptual and the angles are not real.
- Button Quick — Button C: economical mode for lightly soiled or small loads; wash and rinse time is shortened. On Cotton 30 °C it starts the 17-minute quick programme. Not available for cotton with prewash, rinse, softening, drain and spin.
- Button More water — Button D: for better rinsing (important with detergent allergies) and for heavily soiled laundry. Not available for the additional programmes.
- Start button START/PAUSE — Button E: START starts the programme (the machine begins after a few seconds), PAUSE stops it; press START to continue. Until START is pressed the selection can be changed. After START the programme can be changed only by setting the knob to 0 for 1 second.
The machine does not work, the ON/OFF lamp is off
- No mains voltage: check the plug, the socket and the fuse.
Manual, p. 21
ERROR 2 (lamps blink twice): the programme does not start
- The door is not closed properly: close it (press at the marked spot).
Manual, p. 21
ERROR 3 (three blinks): no water comes in
- Water supply problem: check the tap and the filter in the inlet hose, then press START again.
Manual, p. 21
ERROR 7 (seven blinks): the water does not drain
- The drain is blocked: check the filter, a kinked hose, the siphon, and a hose set higher than 1 m. Press START again.
Manual, p. 22
ERROR 1, 4, 5, 6 (one, four, five, six blinks)
- Temperature sensor (1), drum speed sensor or motor overload (4), motor (5), heating element or too cold water (6): switch off, wait, switch on and repeat; if it repeats, call service.
Manual, p. 23
Water leaks from the machine
- The filter is not screwed in properly.
- The inlet hose is not tightened.
- The drain hose has fallen on the floor.
Manual, p. 21
The machine vibrates during the spin
- The laundry is unevenly distributed (for example too little laundry): this is normal, the machine reduces the speed itself.
Manual, p. 21
Too much foam
- Too much powder: dose according to the maker's advice and the water hardness.
Manual, p. 21
Laundry is not wrung out properly
- The stability control reduced the spin because of uneven distribution. Wash large and small items together.
Manual, p. 22
Grease lumps or white powder traces remain
- Too little powder or very greasy laundry.
- Detergents with zeolites: wash again, try liquid detergents without zeolites, brush off the residue.
Manual, p. 22
Softener remains in the drawer
- The drawer cover is fitted wrongly or blocked: clean the drawer and check the cover.
Manual, p. 22
Bad smell in the drum
- Residue in the filter or bacteria: check the filter and run the "Self-cleaning" programme (Cotton 95 °C, then hold button D for 3 seconds).
Manual, p. 22
The wash takes longer than usual
- Low inlet water temperature or low mains voltage, the active stability control, a power cut: this is not a fault.
Manual, p. 23

Unplug before cleaning. Wipe with a soft cloth and a non-aggressive cleaner.
Remove grease lumps by running a 60 °C wash without laundry with half a dose of powder. If you often use low temperatures and liquid detergents, run the "Self-cleaning" programme (Cotton 95 °C, then hold button D for 3 seconds) once a month. Wipe the door seal dry after every wash.
Clean as needed: press the tab, remove the drawer, brush it under running water, dry it. Brush the recess, especially the nozzles at the top.
Open the filter cover with a flat screwdriver. Turn the filter insert anticlockwise, wait for the water to run out, take it out and wash it under running water. Refit and tighten clockwise; the seal surface must be clean. Especially after washing old or fluffy laundry.
Clean the screen of the inlet hose under running water often.
Where the data comes from
- Operating instructions Gorenje WA50105 (RU, mcgrp.ru: shared manual for several model variants, 36 p.), p. 3-34 (номера страниц данных совпадают с печатными) (manual archive)
Assumptions
- Electronic control with a display: the programme knob does not turn during the wash and three lamps show the stage, so cycle.dialMoves=false; positions in cycle.steps select the programme.
- Knob angles are taken from the panel drawing on p. 9, approximately (0 = 12 o'clock, clockwise). Matching marks to programmes is based on the icons and arcs in the drawing and the table on p. 9; it is an interpretation of the drawing.
- The manual is shared by several variants (7 kg A 30 N, 6 kg A 20 N / A 10 N / O, 5.5 kg, slim). It does not say which variant the WA50105 is; the data use the table on p. 26 (6 kg A 10 N): load, durations, temperatures. Durations in the different variants are almost the same.
- Step durations in cycle.steps are estimates (cycle.estimate=true), fitted to the total time from the consumption table.
- Cotton spin speeds in the manual are 1400...500 in steps of 100; the data show only 1400, 1200, 1000, 800, 700, 600, 500 and no spin. The maximum depends on the model, 1400 is assumed.
- Button B (spin speed) is a single button that lowers the speed with presses; in the data it is shown as a conceptual dial.
- The tag on the 60 and 40 marks denotes the EN 60456 programme the energy label data refer to (interpretation of the icon and the text on p. 24).
- The "40 + Easy iron" position (shirt at the end of the synthetics arc) is determined from the panel drawing and the table on p. 24.
- Panel colours are approximate (the drawing is grey); years are approximate.
Not in the manual
- The manual does not say which table variant matches the WA50105: load, maximum spin and durations are given for several variants.
- The "Self-cleaning" programme is described on p. 13 only; it has no separate knob position (Cotton 95 °C plus holding button D for 3 seconds) and is not modelled.
- The maximum spin speed for this variant is not given; the 600/800/1400 columns in the tables belong to different variants.
- The drawing shows a display (mentioned for "Self-cleaning"), but its look and function are not described.
- The Aqua Stop and installation sections were not examined.
Time is an estimate from the timer steps and heater power: heating 12 l of water from 15 °C to the selected temperature with a 2000 W (not stated in the manual, typical value used) heater. Real time depends on tap water temperature, load and mains voltage.
